THE P3 GROUP BREAKS GROUND ON 3 NEW FACILITIES OCT. 5, 2020
The P3 Group, Inc. delivered $14M for Jefferson County, Arkansas under a design, build, finance public private partnership. The funds will be used for a new Health Unit, Coroner’s Office, and VA Center. The 2020 Series – Certificate of Participation Lease Purchase transaction was rated A2 by Moody’s with an underlying issuer’s rating of A1. Using our robust delivery method, The P3 Group was able to design and finance the 3 new county facilities in 84 days which include site acquisition, engineering, and design . The total project cost will be $14.3M and will be completed in 1 year.
Atlanta based, CHASM ARCHITECTURE, in collaboration with The P3 Group, CORE Construction, and Jefferson County, designed the Health Unit and Coroner’s office to respond to COVID-19 and future Pandemics. The Health Unit has a fully integrated COVID-19 and infectious disease drive through testing and processing lab. The Coroner’s office has a decontamination area that provides a space for staff to decontaminate after coming into contact with a deceased individual that may have COVID-19 or other infectious diseases. These facilities are some of the nations first capital projects to address the community’s needs during a pandemic.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
The projects in Jefferson County have received overwhelming community support. Simmons Bank has pledged $1,000,000 to the health unit. The Quapaw Nation, owner of the Saracen Casino, has pledged $266,759.06 to pay for the furniture, fixtures, and equipment for the health unit. Relyance Bank also Pledged $40,000 to the Health Unit.
